Monument of Glory

Memorial Complex "Monument to the villagers who died on the battlefields of war."

The decision of the Stavyshchenska District Council "On the construction of the Monument of Eternal Glory to the fallen soldiers during the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War" is dated April 7, 1967, under No. 7.

In the communal grave, the reburial of the fallen soldiers buried in Stavyshche and its surroundings took place, and the names of the missing were also carved.

Here lie the graves of the Heroes of the Soviet Union: Sergeant Ivan Samsonovich Havrylov (1912-1944), Senior Sergeant Petro Nykyforovych Starykov (1904-1944), and Guards Sergeant Pavel Semenovich Sviechnikov (1925-1944).

The monument also bears the inscription: "Here lie the commanders of the 2nd Tarashchansky Regiment: Balias V.S. and partisan detachment Kravchenko P.I., as well as 12 unknown soldiers who died for the power of the Soviets in 1918-1920," which, when delving into history, evokes ironic smiles:

There is hope that all the remains of the deceased will be reburied in the cemetery as is proper for people, and the park will regain its park-like appearance.
